Eye creams have been used for decades to prevent or treat the sensitive skin around the eye area. They are considered a staple for daily skin routines but if you look at the ingredient list or talk to your dermatologist you’ll find that there is nothing magical in there that’ll change the state of your skin. It is mostly a thicker formula than your run-of-the-mill moisturizer. Eye creams are just made especially for the thin layer of skin around your eyes since they are prone to wrinkles and signs of aging easier than the rest of your skin.
So do you really need it??
In my opinion.. if you have a good skin routine and a good moisturizer, no need. Most eye creams are ridiculously expensive for MAYBE 50ml of product. If you’re a college kid like me with a minimum wage paycheck, don’t bother. Just keep up with your sunscreen!

I wonder if they really help out with wrinkles in the long run. or if (botox/surgery?) is really the only solution once you start hitting your 30s.
The only way you can be sure i think is to read the ingredients. Each product is different, so read the labels love!! If you really don’t want botox or cosmetic surgery when the wrinkles do come, use sunscreen now!! UV rays are to blame for signs of aging. If you don’t want wrinkles, wear sunscreen daily girl! 🙂
i’m not afraid of botox since it’s very minor. Granted i’m still in my early 20s so I don’t have to worry about wrinkles…yet! But I think it’s always good to start taking care of yourself early ^^ Thank you!
Hahahaha. Thanks God I read this. Plan to buy some eye cream but it is too expensive so I’m saving rn. Gonna buy some useful products. 💕 thanks
Good idea!! Just double up on your moisturizer on your eye area😍😍😍
I’ll do it and I love your blog! 😘💖
