Washing off makeup can be as tedious as putting it on. However this does not excuse you from going to bed without washing it off!
I had a conversation with my coworker the other day about this new waterproof eyeliner I bought and she thought I would have the hardest time getting it all off but she was oh so wrong. Her routine called for bar soap, makeup wipes, Q-tips, eyemakeup remover and elbow grease. There are so many things wrong with that process I can’t even..First of all you should never wipe of your makeup with bar soap or makeup wipes alone. For one thing- bar soap should never be used on the face and two-makeup wipes should be used to touch up smears throughout the day or as a secondary method to an actual cleanser.
If you have very stubborn or waterproof makeup that doesn’t come out with an ordinary cleanser, I recommend using cleansing oil. I use Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil. Cleansing oil should be used with dry hands on a dry face. Massage it GENTLY onto your face to melt away your makeup. Follow with rinsing and you should be good to go. My coworker had the notion that cleaning the face had to be rough. PLEASE NO. Do not rub your face harshly thinking it will get your mascara off. Instead of rubbing your face I suggest you take your time with this process. Massage the cleansing oil onto your face and then let it sit there for a couple seconds. Don’t rinse it with water right away, the oil hasn’t had time to do its job yet. If you follow this method your nighttime routine should go a lot smootherย ๐
