Hey guys!! Happy Sunday! So my birthday was last month and I took my ass over to Sephora to get my free goodies!
Are you a Beauty Insider for Sephora? you should be just for the birthday gifts. It’s so worth it cause the membership is free! They always give you two options for birthday gifts and I chose the skincare product cause duh it’s me. LOL
So Caudalie is a French skincare brand that started in the early 1990’s. The brand started from a family that owneda vineyard and used their grapes to create active ingredients in skincare that “illuminate” women’s skin. I read this from their actual website if you guys are interested~
As y’all know I’m partial to Korean skincare so European brands are my weak spot. That’s why I chose this gift so I could expand my wings~~~ LOL. So let’s get to the actual products:
The pink bottle is the Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. Half the label is in French so bear with me lol 🙂 The white bottle is Vinoperfect Radiance Serum.
First things first you can tell these are made from very raw ingredients because the expiration dates are 6 months and 9 months. That means there are almost no preservatives which is a good thing! The serum’s label claims “No parabens and no Phenoxyethanol”. Phenoxyethanol is a common preservative used in skincare. Preservatives in skincare make the product last a lot longer but it also adds chemicals and shit to your skin in return. It’s like when your bread keeps its shape weeks and weeks after you bought it…not natural..lol.
The serum bottle itself is made of glass and it comes with a dropper which is also glass. The directions say to apply morning and night to your face, neck, and decollete. I am almost done the whole bottle so it’s lasted just about a month.
The picture on the left shows the serum when applied to my hand. Its a white murky color and very very watery. It applies to the skin very lightly and is easy to spread out~ The dropper is a nice touch cause it makes you feel all fancyyy hehe. 😉
The only negative I have is that the smell is unsettling. It’s definitely nothing I’ve ever smelled before. Maybe it’s a European scent? Grape extract scent? I’m not sure but I sure did not grow fond of it over the last month. It made applying it a little unpleasant even though it was super moisturizing.
Damn. So the back shot came out a little blurry so I’ll write out what it says!! My apologiess.
This bottle is 10 ml and full size bottle is 40ml. Directions say to “apply morning and evening to face and neck either by itself or after the serum”.
The sorbet also has 0% parabens, phenoxyethanol, and phtalates. Yayy!
As you can see the product is white with a sorbet-like texture. It feels like buttercream without the greasiness 🙂 Unlike the serum this doesn’t have any scent so no problems there!
As for quality I can see why it is marketed towards sensitive skin because it is such a good product I didn’t feel any stinging or irritation. I legit just ran out of this moisturizer this morning so if you get the full sized bottle it should last you 4-6 months!
All in all I loved my first experience with a European skincare brand~ The serum’s smell was a bit disappointing but the products themselves made my skin feel gooood bro 🙂
Let me know if you’ve used this brand or if you know any good European brands!!
Until next time loves!!
Sounds like a great product to try. I tend to have trouble finding creams that are moisturizing and preservative-free at the same time. So perhaps I’ll try this out sometimes.
P.S. Your writing style gives me life. It makes you sound like a very happy, fun person 🙂
Yes totally try it! Lol omg you’re so sweet!! Thanks girl~~~~
Awesome write
