There is just not enough information available on the Kbeauty products we know and love. What ingredients are in it? What do those chemicals even do? Are any of these bad for you? Which ones give us the best bang for our buck? Finding reviews for beauty products and Kbeauty products are pretty easy to find- what’s not easy to find is just how safe these products are. A rating, a ranking, something! Especially since the directions and websites are mostly in Korean, it’s one more step we have to deal with when getting to know a product. I’m the type of person that wants to know what I’m putting on my skin. I’m not into blind trust-I need to know that the product I’m applying won’t hurt me.
With American or European brands, there are websites out there that consolidate reviews + safety ratings of products…but these sites don’t really have much info on Asian products.. In order for me to do my reviews, I have to:
1. Try out my product
2. Look at the product’s website for special info or descriptions
3. Look for a safety/product rating across 5+ websites on the SLIGHT chance that they might have some content on my product
4. Break down the ingredient list and translate everything to English
5. Look up each individual ingredient online and cross check multiple sources so I know my information is correct.
6. Come up with my final analysis and combine everything into one single post that will tell you everything you need to know about the product.
It’s nuts! But hopefully, if I do this, you guys won’t have to. You’ll be able to get all of the information you need from one consolidated post. That is what I aim to accomplish with my Hunnyy Database- Hunnyybase.
Each Hunnyybase post will have the full ingredient list of the product, with a highlight on the most important/interesting ingredients. Posts will also include the product description along with my opinions on how well the product lived up to its claims. At the end of each post I will provide a Hunnyybase rating of 1-10 based on how well the product worked, the ingredient list and how likely I am of repurchasing.
I know doing this will require a lot more time for each post but I’ve always wanted something like this; an end-all be-all one stop shop of product information. I hate bouncing from website to website for reviews on how good a product is. I just want a simple answer! My Hunnyybase Rating will accomplish this<3
What do you guys think? I will start rolling these posts out within the week! My first post- Aloe gels! Is there a difference between 93% and 95% aloe gels? We will seee!!! 🙂
Until next time guys!
Xoxo, Hunnyy
