::THOUGHTS:: Recycling- How do I recycle special items?

20160530_161009Hi bunnyys!!

I know I don’t usually post on Mondays but I really would like your guys’ help! I love being as eco-friendly as I can and like to recycle, but I only recycle through my local recycling community, like the recycling bins that come through and pick up your bins every week.

Today one of my pens ran out of ink and this pen is mostly made of plastic- I know I can recycle this, but after googling.. there seems to be a lot of different ways to do this! I don’t want to assume I can just send it to my recycling plant and it’ll be done. If I want to send it to a specialty plant, do I have to pay? How do I send it off? HELP.

I’d be open to any advice or knowledge you guys haveee!

I want to be as green as possible when it comes to recycling and buying things <3

Any input helps! Thanks guys,

xoxo Hunnyy

  1. I just looked up your problem and it seems that pens and markers are controversial for recycling. The problem is that pens are too small to recycle and they are apparently made up of different types of plastic. Certain plastics cannot be recycled so I think you sadly have to throw away the pen.

    1. Oh nooo! I see your point though, pens are very small.. ah thanks for the intel!!
