::HONESTLY:: Blogging Struggles

I’m constantly thinking of different Beauty post ideas/videos I want to do. Problem is I don’t have enough time to actually execute them. And when I do the results aren’t always as good as the normal review posts I do. I’m also incredibly impatient so growing my blogging base has proven difficult.

Then there’s the language thing. I love Korean blogging and English blogging. It’s hard to choose.. I’ve seen people who switch between both in their videos and honestly I thought it resulted in a chaotic video with poor delivery.. I also don’t know which way would be more successful.. Fully in English or fully in Korean. I love both.

YOUTUBE. Oh my lordy bee this is so hard. Filming is one monster, editing the video is another and then uploading the video and tagging, titling and describing is a whole other monster!! It takes me probably 10 hours for each 7 minute video.. And I know I’m so much more lively and wild in real life but when I film, I get so focused on providing relevant information about the products I lose most of my fun! That is truly frustrating to see when I edit the final product.

Having a day job on top of my love for beauty is probably my biggest obstacle. I wish I could just focus on one..When I get home from work everyday I’m exhausted.. I want to do well in both my jobs.. I don’t want to ignore one but before I know it I’m passed out in my bed after dinner.. Sigh..

These are just some thoughts that roll through my head.. I definitely don’t want to stop blogging or Youtube. Beauty and skincare are the only things I’ve ever been passionate about. I won’t stop until I become a Cosmetics CEO or a Beauty Director but I guess I just have to keep going.

    Wow that’s a long process for the YouTube vids! I say concentrate on what you enjoy the most. After all, it’s supposed to be a fun thing to do xx

    So I have a 50-60 hour work week and a four hour daily commute. And some tips that I use that hopefully help you. ALWAYS be yourself, deliver your relevant information the way you really would in actual life. Even if that means you make a few notes on your relevant info and then wing it the rest of the time.

    Pre film- one day a week/weekend go ham and film. As many ideas as you can , this way you can edit throughout the week in your pyjamas in bed and no one is the wiser.

    Have a pre:fab description box so it’s just a matter of copy and paste and filling in the blanks.

    Hope that’s helpful 🙂 I post five days a week on my blog + 3-4 videos a week. It can be done promise 🙂

      WOW omg that is literally insane, how are you even awake?! I need to be more like you.. seriously that is so admirable.. how do you stay motivated?

        I wouldn’t call it admirable lol but I appreciate that. To be honest I ws doing blogging and Youtube a lot in 2015/2016 and then 2017 I stopped because I just didn’t feel like I could do it how I wanted to. (Promotion at work ate up a ton of my time). Then I realized I spent most of 2017 really unhappy. So I made this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xHBQ86Ee9o and it really helped me set myself straight. Time is there, its a matter of how we utilize it, and making the things that are important to me actually important. Like I hate cooking and cleaning., I don’t enjoy them, so I just stopped making them a priority. I don’t starve, and it doesnt make me feel any better or worse if the dishes sit an extra little while longer. They don’t get dirtier if I leave them until the next day etc.

        Just a few examples!
