Did you lose your followers/subscribers?? Did your view count actually go up??
I’m seriously considering it but I can’t find actual reviews on how well it works. I can find tutorials on how to do it but no testimonies on the effects of it.

Some changes really affected the entire workflow. It also changed the number of subscribers who were satisfied with the previous content

Yeah, it’s so hard to find good info, I moved to .org two years ago. You won’t lose your followers or comments but you’ll lose the likes. The views only go up if you work for them being self-hosted gives you more freedom to run your blog and use Pinterest to get more traffic and you can add ads.

Sure you can ask, I think it is, with a self hosted site you can work with Google Adsense and get some money but honestly it mostly depends on what you want to do with your blog. I knew from the beginning I wanted it to be my job for the rest of my life so I was willing to invest (it’s still not my main job and I’ve been self hosted for two years) but it’s very time consuming and you have to have a strong motivation. If you think you can do it, then yes it’s worth it.
