Hi bunnies! For the first time on my site we gon’ be talking about periods. That’s right. That once a month, aunt flow menstrual PERIOD. I usually use disposal pads and tampons but I looked into those diva cups but didn’t know if they’d work for me. I was walking around Olive Young (A Korean cosmetic store) and saw these period panties!
These are the Smart Period Panty from Good People. Korean name is 똑똑한 위생팬티 from 좋은 사람들.
They were about $25 for the overnight panty so I bought one! Didn’t have huge high hopes but I brought it home, washed it first then tried it!
HALLELUJAH! Lord these are amazingggg! I have not once had a leak in these! Ever! I’ve been using these for over a year and not one leak!
Pictures are from when i first bought and opened the packaging. A.k.a clean, unused panties pictured below. I would never post anything graphic LOL.
Positives:
- No leaks!!!
- Subtle design
- When I have clothing on, you can’t tell I’m wearing period panties
- Easy to wash
- Reusable
Negatives:
- It does kind of feel like a wet diaper if you wear it all day long
- Odor is similar to wearing pads
- Might have to soak and wash a few times to get all the stains out
Overall these are completely worth it. I’m all about lessening my eco-footprint so these are fantastic! The advantages 100x outweigh the negatives. When I go back to Korea later this year I will get 5 more (since my period lasts for 5 days, I’ll have one for each dayy!)
These panties work great on my heavy days and they will last all day long if you can withstand the diaper feeling lol.
And i did look online – you can get them on Gmarket but with the shipping it ends up being double the price at $40….
I always check Olive Young’s global website and they’re not sold on there yet 🙁 When they do I will let you know!!
