::THROWBACK:: Kat Von D Base First Impressions!

Hi bunnies! Today’s throwback first impressions is a primer & foundation sample from Kat Von D. This brand has… gone down hill? Was it ever uphill? Not in my experience anyway. I’ve tried their eyeliner and their tattoo concealer & they both sucked. Let’s see if this sample was any good!

Official product names are the Kat Von D Lock-It Featherweight Primer and Lock-It Foundation. Jesus that font is so awful I couldn’t tell if it was leatherweight or featherweight… Had to google it!

As soon as I open the primer I smell this yucky perfume smell.. The primer itself feels like a lightweight lotion. It actually applies like a lotion would too, a very effortless feel!

So far, so good. The whole sample was enough for one layer!

Now for the foundation –

This applies well but I think it’s a little too dark for my skin? Not the foundation’s fault. This foundation feels like medium coverage but the one thing I can’t get over is the smell.. it just won’t go away..

Overall it was okay, I can’t speak to its longevity or long term use since it was a sample. But didn’t impress me enough to want a full sized product.
